Hello there! My name is Jen and I am the person here behind the lens! I’m a internationally published lifestyle portrait photographer based out of Texas, but willing to travel wherever my camera takes me. I am emotional, loyal, loud, messy, disorganized, passionate, completely blessed and smitten with being a mother to my two human boys, six fur babies, and a wife to my soldier of 9 years.

I started my love for photography when I was younger. It wasn't until after my first son was born, not only did I have a love for photography but a strong passion. Very quickly, I found what really spoke to me was the emotional aspect of photography. I loved getting those unposed candid moments of my kiddo's sweet little toes in the sand of their sand box to having a slumber party watching movies on a blanket pallet on the floor cuddling with our doggies. I truly embraced the art of storytelling and have not looked back since. My friends would come over to my house and and see my walls filled with our stories told by the images I took. My friends wanted me to do the same for them and that is when my business began started to grow 6 years ago.

Photography has allowed me to travel all over from Los Angeles to South Africa! You can see me photographing everything from fashion show, to newborn sessions, to Rhinos. I have learned from and worked with some of the best photographers in the world! I am always learning as much as I can because in my opinion you can never learn enough. I have also been so lucky to relocate my business with me as the Army moved us from base to base allowing me to meet so many wonderful beautiful people!

I also work/do the photography for an anti poaching organization called EDGE Ecological Defense Group, where we fight the rhino horn war. I also teach photography to the villages of Kruger Park in South Africa as a form of community outreach.

My style is laid back organic, unposed and nowhere near conventional. My style is also geared towards those who are beautifully messy, miraculously complicated, and ferociously loving. The kind that don’t own matching black turtlenecks, and prefer silly faces, giggles & cuddle piles to “chin-on-knuckles” yearbook poses. It’s about the messy, the real, the ordinary, the feelings, the moments the love. It’s about your story, in a collection of images.I love capturing authentic and emotional moments. I want to create work that makes people stop and feel something. I love finding myself through emotional connections with others. To me, anything is possible when all you need is drive, time and patience. My work will always be deeply personal to me because it’s fueled, created and delivered from the heart.
